CNC Turning
CNC Turning
CNC turning is a machining process in which a stationary cutting tool engages with a rotating cylindrical workpiece, moving along two different axes (typically X and Z) to shape the material.
Applications
  • 1

Parts with simple round geometries, such as discs, rings, screws, and bolts.

  • 2

Precision cylindrical parts, such as shafts, which require tight tolerances for roundness, concentricity, and cylindricity.

  • 3

Situations where a high surface finish is needed, as this is often more easily achieved through turning than milling.

Max. work piece size:

Ø600 X 750 mm / 23.6 X 29.5 inch

Accuracy:

Down to 0.005 mm / 0.0002 inch

CNC Turn-Mill
CNC Turn-Mill
Turn-mill machining introduces additional live tooling to the traditional turning machine, typically on the C axis (which indexes the spindle), but it may also be on an additional Y axis. Live tooling (rotating tools) enables milling, drilling, and tapping of holes around the Z axis, thereby facilitating high multi-axis precision and efficiency.
Applications
  • 1

Parts with tight multi-axis tolerances, ensuring precision across various axes.

  • 2

Parts with multiple turning and milling operations, Combining operations for efficiency.

  • 3

Angular and contoured surfaces, precisely machining angles and contours without repositioning.

Max. work piece size:

Ø600 X 750 mm / 23.6 X 29.5

Accuracy:

Down to 0.005 mm / 0.0002 inch

5-Axis Turn-Mill Multitasking
5-Axis Turn-Mill Multitasking
A 5-axis turn-mill machine seamlessly integrates a dual-spindle lathe with a swiveling milling head, enabling precise angled milling and drilling alongside versatile turning operations. This design allows for the complete machining of multi-feature parts in a single setup, ensuring accuracy and high-quality finishes.
Applications
  • 1

Complete feature dense parts that require multiple machining directions in one set up for accuracy and efficiency.

  • 2

Achieving extreme positional and profile precision between turning and milling features across multiple rotational axes.

  • 3

Parts with complex geometries and 3D profiling

Max. work piece size:

Ø600 X 750 mm / 23.6 X 29.5 inch

Swiss type turning
Swiss type turning
Swiss-type turning combines the precision of a sliding headstock with automated multi-tool capabilities, excellent for producing small, slender and complex parts. Its guiding bushing system supports the material close to the operation point, minimizing deflection and allowing for tight tolerance machining.
Applications
  • 1

Feature dense parts with multiple machining directions.

  • 2

Parts with tight position and profile tolerances that are related to more than one rotational axes.

  • 3

Complex geometry parts and 3d profiling.

Max. work piece size:

Ø32*300mm / 1.26 X 12 inch

Accuracy:

Down to 0.005 mm / 0.0002 inch

FAQ
How long it takes to get a quote from Machinix?

Quote and technical feedbacks are provided within 48 hours.

What is the lead time for CNC milling parts?

In the quote screen, you can select between three production speeds : Expedited, standard and cost effective. The lead time of each part is calculated based on part’s complexity, material and surface treatment required as well as the quantity.

What is minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

There is no MOQ! We are specialized in the low to medium volume production, supporting any quantity between 1 to 10,000 pcs.

What precision tolerance can you reach?

Machinix is built for precision and can meet 0.005mm or 0.0002” tolerance requirement. The tolerance we can meet for a specific part depends on the part structure, material and size.

How do you assure the quality of my parts?

Each batch of parts is inspected in one of Machinix inspection facilities before shipment, ensuring extreme high quality parts are delivered every time.

What type of quality reports do you provide?

COC and Critical dimensions inspection report per ANSI ASQ Z1.4 AQL GII are provided as a standard with each batch. When configuring your order, you may add additional inspection reports such as FAI report, Full dimensions report or CTQ Report. Custom reports are available upon request.
